Alongside my full-time role, I do selective consulting and advisory work — typically short and focused. I only take engagements in areas where I've built the thing myself, so you get answers grounded in what actually breaks, not slideware.

RAG architecture & evaluation
Design or review of retrieval pipelines: chunking strategy, embedding-model selection, rerankers, and — the part most teams skip — evaluation. Golden datasets, retrieval metrics (MRR, mAP, hit rate), and regression tracking so you can say how well your system works, not just that it "mostly does." This is my day job at Intuit.

Agentic AI systems
Architecture for agent-based products: LangChain and LangGraph, MCP integrations, tool design, state and memory, and human-in-the-loop control flow. I've written a practitioner's guide series on exactly this stack.

AI adoption for engineering teams
Getting real value out of agentic coding tools — workflow and harness patterns, reusable skills, tool selection, and hands-on training. I've championed this adoption inside a large organization, and earlier in my career trained 200+ engineers on new technology stacks.

Systems & cloud architecture review
A second pair of eyes on distributed-systems designs: service boundaries, event-driven patterns, scalability and cost, and legacy modernization plans. Backed by the Oracle Enterprise Manager modernization and a decade of SAP cloud work.
How engagements work
- Advisory calls — a single session or a recurring cadence to pressure-test decisions as you build.
- Focused reviews — I dig into your architecture or evaluation setup and deliver written findings and recommendations.
- Short projects — a scoped build, such as standing up an evaluation pipeline or an agent-workflow prototype.
- Team workshops — hands-on sessions to get an engineering team productive with agentic tooling.
I don't take on long-running, full-time-shaped contracts — if it can't be scoped, it's not a fit.
